Paris is Always a Good Idea…

Hi all,

Hope you’re having a wonderful week! Today, I’ve collaborated with eShakti to bring you a review of one of their cutest dresses! If you visit their website, they have SO many options of dresses, tops, jeans, skirts and the best part is that you can customize your selection. After you select a dress, you can pick the sleeve length, neckline style, and length. I love this because even though others can buy these dresses too, because of the customization feature, yours will be truly unique!

The dress I picked out is the Landscape Print Belted Mixed Media dress which retails for $69.95.

I love this because the print at the bottom is beautiful and hard to find anywhere else! Also, it’s Paris! and we all know that Paris is always a good idea 😉

I chose to increase the length of this dress so it’s a maxi. I accessorized it with a mint green belt for some fun color (and because I didn’t love the belt that it came with), and added a statement necklace.

Here is the dress with the belt it comes with.

My experience with eShakti was very smooth. The dress turned out to be exactly how I wanted it, and it shipped within a week as well! The price of their items seem fair to me  because every piece has to be customized and their designs are truly unique. They also have a good clearance section with lower prices and have sales quite often!

For the Love of Autumn…

Hi all,

I’m going to say the one thing that almost every fashion obsessed girl says this season – Autumn is my favorite! Words can not describe how much in love with this season I am. The comfy sweaters, the hot lattes in the chilly mornings, the crunch sound you hear when you step on a pile of leaves and the beautiful color the world turns as the leaves change – could anything be more beautiful?

Fall is also my favorite season to dress for. The deeper colors, sweaters, boots and hats, I love it all! Today, i’m sharing with you an outfit of the day that just screams Autumn to me!

I wore a light weight sweater (perfect for that in between weather) in a taupe color, and then added a burgundy knit scarf to that. This is my favorite scarf for fall and winter because the color is so beautiful and it keeps you warm! It is finally chilly enough to pull out my brown boots, and then I added the hat as a fun extra to the outfit! I love this outfit because all the colors together look like the beautiful colors that the leaves are turning.

Kylie Lip Kits Review!

Hi All,

When it comes to makeup, I like to stick with what I know works best with the exception of lipsticks. Lipsticks are the most fun and easiest way to change up your makeup look, I love trying out new lipsticks and shades (usually neutral shades 😛 ) ! With that being said, how could I not try out the most talked about liquid lipstick to have hit the market, the Kylie Lip Kits!

I wasn’t looking to purchase these until she came out with her birthday collection. I really wanted her lipstick minis because it would be a good way to try out a few of her colors so in hopes of those I hopped online at the time she had announced they would go on sale. I quickly added the minis to my cart but once I got to checkout they were already sold out, all in under a minute of them going on sale! Since I had already made the effort to get on her site at the right time, I decided I might as well try purchasing one of the other colors so I went for her limited edition Leo Lip Kit and the Dolce K lipstick and was able to order them before they sold out.

They arrived in about a week after placing the order in a Kylie Cosmetics box and with a note from Kylie about her birthday edition. I tried the lipsticks and liner and have reviewed them for you below!

Leo Lip Kit Review

The Leo Lip kit is a limited edition color that Kylie released to celebrate her birthday and isn’t always available for purchase. It’s a dark burgundy color with tones of red and purple. I think this is a beautiful color for fall and is great for occasional wear. I personally wouldn’t wear this shade often because it was too dark/intense of a color for me but anyone who is into dark and bold colors would love this! The lip kit comes with the liquid lipstick and a lip liner.

Dolce K Liquid Lipstick Review

The Dolce K color comes in a Lip Kit which includes a liquid lipstick and a lip liner but it can also be purchased alone. I chose to buy just the lipstick. I would describe the color of this as a cool nude brown. It’s definitely a neutral color but it also makes a statement at the same time. I think this is a shade that can work on almost any skin tone, however, because of the shade it can make your lips look unhydrated and really shows the cracks so make sure you apply lots of lip balm in between! I personally will be rocking out Dolce K more than Leo because I find the color to be more wearable as it is more neutral.

Final Thoughts

I think Kylie has really come up with some great lipsticks and some interesting colors that are very her and are very much in trend. The formula is good, long lasting and vanilla scented but as with most matte liquid lipsticks, you need to keep your lips hydrated in between.

I don’t think i’d be eager to purchase these again unless she comes up with another color that I really like. Otherwise, I think they are comparable to other liquid lipsticks in the market that are more easily accessible.

For The Love Chambray!

Hi all,

I hope you are all getting through your week well, it’s Thursday meaning we’re one day away from Friday! 😀

Today, I wanted to talk about one of my all time favorite shirts, chambray! The reason I love wearing chambray is that it is so versatile and easy to style. You can wear it alone, with a pair of jeans or leggings for an easy look, or wear it on top of a dress or skirt to make a look a bit more casual. The second has been my favorite way of wearing chambray lately and its so perfect for the upcoming fall season! Adding the shirt on top of a dress or skirt is the perfect way to transition it into the cooler fall season!

Here are two examples of how I styled a chambray shirt. The first one is by pairing it with a chevron maxi skirt and a white tank underneath. This was more of a day time causal look.

This second look is on top of a black maxi dress. This maxi dress on its own is too formal so by adding the shirt on top, it made it a more casual evening look!

Comment below and share what your favorite way of wearing a chambray shirt is!

Throw Back to My Favorite OOTD from My NYC Trip!

Hello all,

In the spirit of throwback Thursday, I am throwing back to my favorite outfit from my NYC trip I took a few weeks ago. If you follow me on instagram (which you should if you don’t yet! :D) then you saw that I shared a few pics from the trip but no outfit ones because I wanted to do a proper post which I have finally got around to doing!

I was there for a few days but this was my favorite outfit. It was comfortable enough to do a lot of walking but cute as well!

I love this skirt! It has tweed look to it but has a subtle sparkle which is perfection! I wore this with a black shirt, black leggings, and a statement necklace. I wore brown booties which were very comfortable for walking and to match that I carried my Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere (35).

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this bag! I carried it for most of my trip because it fits everything! It has a shoulder strap which is perfect to be hands free and for when you’re tired. I have always loved the look of the iconic Speedy but the fact that it doesn’t have a shoulder strap held me back, but when I discovered this bag, I knew I had to have it! Absolutely perfect for carrying all day but still looking chic!

  • Shirt and Skirt: The Loft
  • Leggings: Express
  • Boots: Macy’s
  • Bag: Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere 35
  • Watch: Michael Kors

Attending My First Purse Auction and OOTD!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I surely did! On Thursday night (we’re just going to pretend that’s part of the weekend 😛 ) I attended my first ever purse auction, A Purse for Change,  hosted by the Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley. It was such a cool experience because we got to bid on some beautiful pieces (you all know bags are my weakness 😛 ) and it was all for a good cause!

The outfit I wore for this was simple, as were the outfits of other’s because like me, most of these women were coming straight from work. I wore a simple black shirt, with maroon pants and a statement necklace. I wore brown boots and added my Speedy B to tie the whole look together.

Comment below and let me know what you think of this look!

Flashback Friday to my Birthday OOTD!

Hi all!

Happy Friday! My birthday was back in February but I didn’t get a chance to post my outfit so I thought what better day than flashback Friday?!

My birthday was pretty low key this year and I just went out to dinner with some friends. I wore a black button down, with black leather skinny’s. To break up the black on black, I added a boxy camel coat for outerwear. I love this coat! its so sophisticated and stylish, yet it looks laid back and loose (looks huge on me but its only a medium!) because of its boxy cut. I added a gold a statement necklace for some sparkle, and used my Louis Vuitton Neverfull pochette as a clutch!

Comment below and let me know what you think of this look!

  • Shirt & Leather Skinny’s: H&M
